School Hours

Students are advised to reach 15 minutes earlier to school timings. Students arriving after the school timings should report to the office where they will be given a copy of late coming slips which the parents need to sign and to return the next day. Late slips will become a part of the child's permanent record. If the child is consistently late, the school will have to consider a course of strict action which could also lead to expulsion from the school. This will be enforced.

Drop-off

The children must be dropped off 15 minutes before the school morning assembly. The school cannot take responsibility for students who arrive before that time.

Pick-up

The children must be picked up from school within 30 minutes after school is closed. The school does not offer any care after school.

Attendance

A pupil will be eligible to appear in the final examination if he / she has completed 75 % attendance. Leave is granted only through an application addressed to the Principal forwarded by class teacher, duly signed by the parent / guardian if it is submitted in time. The period of leave with reasons will also be recorded in the student's profile by the parent with signature. In the case of illness, a medical certificate must be attached with the application; long absence is discouraged without any genuine reason. The name of the student will be struck off from the roll of the school if he / she remains absent for more than a week continuously without sanction of leave.

Absence

Whenever a student is unable to be in school due to illness or an unexpected occurrence, the parent or guardian must telephone THE INTELLECTUALS school & must provide a written note stating the reason for absence of the student. If a student needs to be excused early, a note from a parent / guardian is required stating the reason for going home early. Any appointment regarding the child i.e, appointment with the doctor etc, should be made after school hours.

Note:

Written notes become a part of the child’s permanent file.
